American School & University’s GREEN School & University Virtual Conference & Expo Draws Large Attendance and Unprecedented Industry Support

American School & University’s GREEN School & University Virtual Conference & Expo, held on June 24, drew over 1,500 registrants and approximately 700 attendees from 47 states and 13 foreign countries. The interactive event was dedicated to how to incorporate green/sustainable practices in our nation’s education institutions. American School & University received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both exhibitors and attendees.

“We’ve been pleasantly overwhelmed by the positive response we’ve received,” said Joe Agron, Editor-in-Chief of American School & University and moderator of the GREEN School & University Virtual Conference & Expo. “In a challenging economy, a virtual conference is an attractive vehicle for both attendees and sponsors as it reduces travel expenses normally associated with an industry conference & trade show without compromising the educational quality.”

Just like an on-site conference, the GREEN School & University Virtual Conference & Expo featured an exhibit hall where attendees visited and interacted with vendors; an auditorium where they viewed up to 5 educational webinars and live Q&A sessions; a resource center with access to white papers, presentations, videos and podcasts; and a communication center where industry professionals networked with peers, presenters and exhibitors.

“The event exceeded our expectations,” said Gregg Herring, Group Publisher. “The American School & University team has helped pioneer a new, innovative path in serving our audience and the marketplace.”

The event gained unprecedented industry support and participation from some of the leading organizations in the education, architectural and green communities, including: United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities (NCEF), Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC), Association of School Business Officials (ASBO), National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA), Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

The event will be available on-demand at www.ASUmag.com for 12 months. For information on sponsoring the 2010 GREEN School & University Virtual Conference & Expo, please contact Joe Agron at jagron@asumag.com or your regional sales manager.
