District expects to add 11,000 students in the next 6 years

The Montgomery County (Md.) district has proposed a $1.55 billion capital improvement budget that seeks to relieve crowding with the construction of five new schools and 22 classroom addition over the next six years. The Washington Post says the district, which has 151,607 students this year, is expecting an enrollment increase of 11,000 in the next six years. If the school board approves the plan next month, it would go to county officials for consideration.
