Anne Arundel County (Md.) superintendent takes top job in Prince George's County

Anne Arundel (Md.) County School Superintendent Kevin Maxwell has resigned to take over the helm at the neighboring Prince George's County district. The Baltimore Sun says Maxwell submitted his resignation to Anne Arundel school officials after Prince George's County Executive Rushern L. Baker III announced Maxwell had been named as the school system's new chief executive officer. Maxwell had led Anne Arundel schools since 2006. He previously worked for 22 years in Prince George's County as a teacher and administrator.
