Howard "Gene" Taylor had said he was leaving North Atlanta High to return to the Gwinnett County district; now he is staying in Atlanta as a district administrator

Howard "Gene" Taylor announced his resignation last week as the principal of North Atlanta High School in Atlanta after only 11 months. He said that he was returning to the Gwinnett County (Ga.) district. Now, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, Taylor has reversed course again. Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Erroll Davis says Taylor is staying with the Atlanta district and will become executive director for the city school system’s north region. Taylor’s sudden resignation last week had sparked an outcry from parents. Taylor took over at North Atlanta High last year after the superintendent removed former Principal Mark MyGrant and his administrative team
