Colleges slowly but steadily embracing mobile apps

Nearly 80 percent of colleges and universities report that they have utilized or will soon be utilizing mobile apps, according to Tech Page One. Institutes of higher learning have been slow to adapt to mobile apps as a means to disseminate information and help students and faculty accomplish school-related.tasks. Many of those that have are integrating mobile learning platforms by buying them. Security issues have been the primary impediment to broader mobile app usage. Though the potential for increased student engagement has prompted many schools to develop and/or purchase mobile apps.
