$110 million renovation decrease capacity from 67,000 to 61,000

The University of Kentucky has unveiled the design for a $110 million renovation of its football stadium in Lexington. The Louisville Courier-Journal says the facelift for the 40-year-old Commonwealth Stadium will include a new exterior facade, press box, luxury suites, club seating and recruiting room that overlooks a new team entrance to the field in the east end zone. When the project is finished in 2015, the stadium’s capacity will decrease from 67,000 to about 61,000.
