Durham (N.C.) board cancels credit card issued to superintendent

The Durham (N.C.) school board has cancelled the credit card assigned to Superintendent Eric Becoats after questions were raised about his purchases. The Raleigh News & Observer reports that board chairwoman Heidi Carter identified spending on the account that was not related to student learning. Carter says the board will discuss putting more restrictions on use of district-issued credit cards.
