Former site of deaf school in Columbus, Ohio, will become Catholic high school

The Columbus (Ohio) Metropolitan Library board has agreed to sell the former Ohio State School for the Deaf to a private Catholic school that hopes to move in next year. The Columbus Dispatch says the library bought the site last month for $2.16 million. It is selling the building to Cristo Rey Columbus High School for $1 million and will retain the land and a portion of the parking lot for green space. Cristo Rey is a Catholic college-preparatory school for low-income families.
