Neighbors oppose expansion plans for Los Angeles private school


Neighbors of Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles are battling the school over its plans to build a parking garage with a sky bridge over Coldwater Canyon Avenue. The Los Angeles Daily News says the private school to construct a three-story, 750-car parking garage topped by a synthetic playing field on 5.5 acres of native oaks and walnut trees in the Studio City area. Critics, contend the construction plans pose manyenvironmental, aesthetic, hazardous and legal pitfalls.
