Orange County (Fla.) school board votes to sue county over proposed site for high school

School district is challenging county commission's rejection of proposed site in western part of the county.

The Orange County (Fla.) School Board has voted in favor of suing the county after commissioners rejected the district's site for a new high school. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the district wants to build on a 69-acre parcel in the western part of the county to relieve crowding at West Orange High. The county commission rejected the proposal last month after opponents complained about the noise, traffic and lights a school would generate.
