$33 million facility will house a majority of the school's classes.

Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., is moving forward with plans to build a $33 million academic building. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2014 in what now is a parking lot near the center of the 55-acre campus. The university says the first phase of the project will be a 68,000-square foot building to house classrooms and faculty offices. It will replace the heavily trafficked Sedgwick Hall, which eventually will be remodeled to accommodate university administrative offices.
