School district in San Antonio seeks approval of $648 million bond

The Northside (Texas) district needs to build more campuses to keep up with growth.

The Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, has placed a $648 million bond proposal on the May 10 ballot. The San Antonio Express News says the money would pay for construction of six new schools and upgrades existing campuses. Northside has been adding 2,000 to 3,000 students annually and surpassed the 100,000-student mark in the fall.
