A Massachusetts school district expects to save about $2 million over two decades with a solar canopy, with about $100,000 of those energy savings occurring in the first year.
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School officials have approved the installation of a 1.27 megawatt canopy over a school parking lot, the Sudbury Patch has reported. Officials are still negotiating an amended contract with SunEdison for the project.
Construction is expected to begin this summer.
