14 Philadelphia schools will get overhaul

7 campuses will be converted to charter schools
From The Philadelphia Inquirer: Seven seven failing Philadelphia public schools will become charters in September. A total of 14 schools citywide will get dramatic overhauls. In addition to the seven charters, six schools will become "Promise Academies" run by Superintendent Arlene Ackerman. The fate of one school has not been settled.
