2 charter schools approved in East Baton Rouge Parish

Campuses are expected to open this summer
From The Baton Rouge Advocate: The East Baton Rouge Parish (La.) School Board has approved contracts for two charter schools, clearing the way for the schools to open their doors this summer. Inspire Charter Academy, a K-8 school to be run by the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based National Heritage Academies, plans to open in the Brookstown area in August. The Mentorship Academy--two specialized, regional high schools in downtown Baton Rouge--will open for students in July.
