From The Battle Creek Enquirer: The Athens (Mich.) district is asking voters on Aug. 3 to approve a $2.85 million bond that would be used for additions to Athens High School and a partial remodel of East Leroy Elementary School. Athens will become a two-building district next year when Athens Middle School closes. The district's 650 students will be split between the elementary school and high school. Bond funds would be used to add a band room and two classrooms to the high school.
