Money would pay for kindergarten classrooms, middle school additions

From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Voters in the Kirkwood (Mo.) School District will decide two bond proposals on Nov. 2. Proposition 1 would provide $33.575 million to add kindergarten classrooms, upgrade middle-school science classrooms and make safety improvements. Proposition 2 would provide $14.85 million bond issue for improvements to physical education and athletic facilities, including the construction of an “aquatic center” at the high school.

JUNE 2010....from The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The Kirkwood (Mo.) district is considering placing two bond issues totaling about $48.3 million on the November ballot. A $33.3 million proposal would provide additional space to accommodate more kindergarten classes; gyms/multipurpose rooms/cafeterias at three campuses and science classrooms at two middle schools. A $15 million proposal would seek funds to improve athletic fields and facilities, and build an aquatic center at Kirkwood High.
