90 central office staff members laid off in Seattle district

System looks to cut up to $25 million from 2010-11 budget
From The Seattle Times: The Seattle school system has given layoff notices to more than 90 central-office staff members, one step in the district's effort to cut $18 million to $25 million in expenses for the 2010-11 school year. About 17 of those laid off are managers or supervisors, 18 are teacher coaches and 13 are administrative assistants. The rest work in nearly every district department.
