Abuse allegations raise concerns in San Antonio area districts

Feb. 12, 2007
Nine incidents reported since December.

Since December, nine children in the San Antonio area have alleged that they have been sexually assaulted or improperly treated in or around schools. The incidents have prompted parents to ask whether officials from the Northside, North East and San Antonio districts are doing enough to protect students. The reported incidents have ranged from allegations that teachers had same-sex encounters with high school students to a claim a man tried to abduct a 6-year-old boy from an elementary school bathroom.
