Aug. 16, 2012
Young Men's Leadership Academy will start with grades 6 and 7

From The Fort Worth Star-Telegram: The Young Men's Leadership Academy starts classes in Fort Worth, Texas, later this month and joins a handful of all-boys public schools in the state. The academy, housed in the former Dunbar Sixth Grade Center, will have 150 sixth and seventh grade boys. Plans are to add one grade level each year until the first seniors graduate in 2018. The Fort Worth district's Young Women's Leadership Academy opened in 2010 and will add a ninth grade this year. Admissions to the all-boys campus was open to students from across the district and was not limited to top-performing students, administrators say.
