Delaware district wins approval for $64 million bond plan

From The Wilmington News Journal: Voters in the Appoquinimink (Del.) School District have approved a $64.6 million referendum that will enable the district to build two new schools and make other improvements. Plans call for a a 330-student early childhood center and an 840-student elementary school to accommodate enrollment that is expected to increase at the rate of 5 percent to 8 percent over the next four to six years. The district has more than 9,000 students, a three-fold increase over what it had 15 years ago.
