Dollarway (Ark.) district is taken over by the state

From ArkansasNews.com: The Arkansas Board of Education has voted to take over the Dollarway School District after Dollarway High School failed to meet accreditation standards for two consecutive years. The board voted to remove the district’s superintendent and board and directed state Education Commissioner Tom Kimbrell to appoint an administrator to oversee day-to-day operations at the district. The district must make quarterly reports to the board on its progress toward fixing the problems. Board member Vicki Saviers moved for the action, noting that both the high school and the middle school in Dollarway are performing in the bottom 5 percent of schools in the state.
