Bond election fails in Ashland (Ohio) district

From The Mansfield News Journal: Voters in the Ashland (Ohio) district have rejected a major building program bond issue for the second time in three months. The bond issue would have paid for about $40 million of a $60 million program. A new high school building was the proposal's centerpiece.

JUNE 2011...from The Mansfield News Journal: The Ashland (Ohio) school district is asking voters on Aug. 2 to approve a $40 million bond proposal. The money would make up the local portion of a $60 million plan to build a new high school, convert the existing high school to a middle school and build a new elementary building. Voters rejected the same bond issue in May.
