Austin (Texas) Community College may extend boundaries

April 28, 2008
Round Rock voters will decide whether to become part of community college district

Voters in two-thirds of the Round Rock (Texas) district will decide on May 10 whether to join Austin Community College's taxing jurisdiction. If annexation is approved, all of the Round Rock district's population would be part of the ACC district. Residents of the newly annexed area would pay taxes, 9.58 cents per $100 in property value, to support the college, but students from the area would pay less tuition than students outside the school's district.
