The University of Tennessee has opened a new facility on its Knoxville campus for the Howard H. Baker Center for Public Policy. It will be the home to Baker's collection of papers throughout his career in Congress, the White House and as a U.S. Ambassador. The campus has housed the Baker center since 2003, but now has built a new 53,000-square-foot facility for it. The project has been designed to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification.
