St. Louis-area elementary school receives LEED certification

From The St. Louis Business Journal: Barbara C. Jordan Elementary School in the University City (Mo.) School District is the first public elementary school in the St. Louis area to receive LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The $11.5 million, 63,100-square-foot elementary school building, which opened in the fall, includes rain gardens, window placements that maximize daylight and a high-efficiency HVAC system.
