$12.4 million package will pay for new elementary school

From The Belgrade News: Voters in the Belgrade (Mont.) School District have approved a $12.4 million bond issue for a new elementary school, The new building will enable the district to offer full-day kindergarten, a program it can’t now host because of a lack of space, The new building also will alleviate crowding in classrooms, many of which are to the point that they exceed state accreditation mandates. The district is aiming to open the new school for the 2012-13 school year.

School District will ask voters in February for approval to build a new elementary school and to create building reserve funds for the elementary and high school districts. All but $500,000 of the $12.96 million request would be earmarked for construction of the elementary.
