Nine students injured when SUV jumps curb near middle school

At least nine children were treated for injuries at local hospitals after a 2004 Honda Pilot jumped a curb and ran through students waiting for the bus at Ralston Middle School in Belmont, Calif., south of San Francisco. At least four children had been pinned under the vehicle after it rammed to a halt against a tree. None of the children's injuries were life-threatening, doctors say. The most seriously injured appeared to be a boy who suffered two lacerations to his liver. Another teen had a large laceration on his head and had lost a substantial amount of blood.
