Bond sales will pay for community college facilities in Louisiana

Projects planned in Monroe, Houma and Sorrento

New campuses for Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe and several other community and technical colleges in the state should be built soon, now that bond sales are going through, college officials say. The $45 million bond sale for a Monroe community college campus has been completed. Despite the economic downturn, another nearly $180 million in bond sales should be completed next month for expansions or campuses at schools such as L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College in Houma and River Parishes Community College in Sorrento.
