The Northside Independent School District in San Antonio is seeking approval of a $693 million bond proposal. The district says about $416 million would be earmarked for construction of nine elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Other projects covered in the bond issue: $60 million for additions to existing schools, $53 million for roofing and other infrastructure upgrades, $42 million for school security and technology, and $32 million for major reconstruction and renovations.
