Bonds rejected in Harrison (N.Y.) district

Voters have rejected a $153.4 million bond referendum to upgrade six schools in the Harrison (N.Y.) district. The bonds would have provided $38.7 million for Harrison High School, $44.9 million for Louis M. Klein Middle School, $19.8 million at Harrison Avenue Elementary School, $21.4 million at Parsons Memorial School, $10.6 million at Samuel J. Preston Elementary School and $18 million at Purchase Elementary School.
