Voters in the United Independent School District in Laredo have resoundingly rejected a $399.6 million bond proposal.

Earlier: The United Independent School District is seeking approval of a $399.6 million bond proposal. The money would pay for construction of eight elementary schools, two middle schools, four ninth-grade campuses, and an alternative education campus. Existing campuses would receive upgrades, and the district would upgrade its educational support facilities and technology.
