From The Charleston Gazette-Mail: Voters in the Boone County (W.Va.) district have defeated a $45 million school bond measure. The bonds, combined with $23 million from the state School Building Authority, would have paid for improvements to elementary, middle and high schools.
JULY 2011...from The Boone County (W.Va.) school district: The Boone County (W. Va.) district is seeking approval on Aug. 20 of a $45 million bond request. Together with $23 million from the West Virginia School Building Authority, the money will enable the district to build a new high school, convert an existing high school to a middle school, and add classrooms and carry out renovations at several existing campuses.
