From The Boston Globe: A judge has overruled a jury decision that awarded a black teacher from Boston Latin School more than $300,000 after he complained that the school’s administrators had discriminated against him. Judge Elizabeth M. Fahey ruled that the jury was wrong when it concluded that Latin retaliated against Jonathan Bonds after he complained that administrators stripped him of his teaching position and replaced him with a less experienced white teacher.

The jurors awarded Jonathan Bonds $341,000 for his claim that the school refused to appoint him chairman of its history department in 2006, after he filed a complaint to the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
