From Chicagorealestatedaily.com: Just four years after opening a new campus, the British School of Chicago is in talks to build a school and athletic fields in the the city's South Loop. The private school wants to begin the project as soon as possible. Upon completion of a South Loop site, the school could increase its enrollment to 1,200 or 1,300. The new campus would grades 6 to 12; lower grades would remain on the existing campus in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The 90,000-square-foot upper school would have sports fields, a gymnasium, an auditorium and a rooftop park. The existing campus does not have athletic fields. The school now has 780 students from preschool through high school, but a lack of space is forcing others to be turned away.
