From The Grand Island Independent: The Broken Bow (Neb.) School District has won approval of a bond proposal to relieve crowding at its elementary schools. Voters authorized a $5.83 million bond to pay for renovations to North Park Elementary School. The election marked the third time the district had attempted to pass a bond since 2008. The bond was nearly half what the bond request in 2010 and 2008. The bond will add classrooms to the North Park building to accommodate kindergarten through fourth grade, leaving the Custer building for fifth and sixth grades.
