Academic building under construction at Bronx Community College

Bronx Community College has broken ground on a new $102 million building, which will house a library and classrooms. Construction on the 98,000-square-foot building will have classrooms and a cafe on the first floor and, above that, a two-story library with a vaulted ceiling. The building is designed to earn a silver LEED rating and is expected to be completed in 2011. The architect is Robert A.M. Stern.
