Broward County (Fla.) school board members want to end leasing of office space

From The South Florida Sun-Sentinel: The Broward County (Fla.) school district spends about $2.25 million a year to lease office space for hundreds of administrative employees, a practice that is no longer affordable and must be stopped, board members say. They say the money for seven building leases could be better spent on school roof replacement, new computers, buses and other vital campus needs. The district is trying to address a projected shortfall in its capital budget.
