Bushland (Texas) district tries for another bond proposal

Voters in the Bushland (Texas) Independent School District trustees hope the third time really is a charm. After months of planning, the Bushland school board voted 5-0 Tuesday to send a $9.1 million bond proposal to voters in May. The price tag is significantly smaller than two previous bond packages voters rejected in 2007.The new proposal includes projects to handle growth, including a $3.3 million classroom addition at Bushland High School and a $1.95 million cafeteria at Bushland Middle School.
