Audit criticizes Cal State diversity efforts

California State University lacks systemwide hiring policies and campuses vary widely when considering the diversity of job candidates, according to a report from the state auditor. Systemwide, 47 percent of the professors, managers, campus presidents and system executives hired in the past five years were women and about a third were minorities, according to the report.
