Calvert County (Md.) district wants to replace high school

Calvert County (Md.) have proposed replacing Calvert High School with a $57 million building. The existing facility, dedicated in 1963, is the oldest of the county's four public high schools. District officials had been planning to renovate the existing structure, but those plans recently were scrapped, George R. Leah Jr., director of school construction for Calvert public schools, told county commissioners this week.
