Knox County (Tenn.) district breaks ground on new elementary (w/VIDEO)

From WBIR-TV: The Knox County (Tenn.) school district has begun construction on a new elementary school in the Carter community. The 89,000-square-foot building will have more than 30 classrooms and be able to accommodate up to 800 students. Groundbreaking for the new school comes after a decade of debate over whether to build new or renovate. The $13.8 million campus is expected to open in 2013.
