Small college will close in Portland, Ore.

Cascade College, a small Christian school in Portland, Ore., will close after 15 years. The school's president says the decision underscores how the economic downturn is threatening small private colleges. Bill Goad says private colleges with fewer than 500 students typically lack a large alumni pool and depend largely on private donors. When the economy turns sour, donations dry up.
