Catholic school in Raytown, Mo., is closing

Days before school was to resume, Our Lady of Lourdes has been shut down

From The Kansas City Star: Days before children go back to school, the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph announced that Our Lady of Lourdes school in Raytown, Mo., will close. Enrollment at the school, which serves students in grades K-8, has been falling. Ten years ago, 199 students attended Our Lady of Lourdes. For the coming year, only 57 students had preregistered.
