Oregon district seeks funds for high school expansion

Central School District J in Independence, Ore., is seeking approval of a $47.3 million bond proposal next month that would pay for a high school expansion. The upgrade to Central High School would increase capacity to 1,200 students and add a performing arts auditorium and an athletic field. The high school capacity now (without modules) is 729; this fall's enrollment is about 870. To read The Salem Statesman-Journal article, click here.
