From The Tampa Tribune: A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for the new Riverview campus of Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Hillsborough County, Fla. The Michigan-based law school has opened a campus in a renovated 132,000-square-foot building. The facility includes a 25,000-square-foot law library, 336-seat auditorium and 24 classrooms. It's the fifth campus for the law school, but the first outside Michigan.

The school will move into an existing 132,000-square-foot building in Riverview, Fla., that used to house an insurance company. The school also bought an adjacent piece of land that will provide for a 13.3-acre campus. Cooley Law says it has 4,001 students on four campuses in Michigan. School officials say they It chose Riverview as its first campus outside Michigan because the Tampa Bay area has only one other law school.
