Changes in Texas could delay textbook delivery at many schools

From The San Antonio Express-News: Some districts in Texas that have ordered new textbooks might not receive them for weeks or, in some cases, months. This year, the state legislature revamped the way textbook purchases are funded, which meant the purchasing process had to be overhauled. District staff members normally would have ordered textbooks in April, but this year weren’t able to begin placing orders until Aug. 8.
