A year after an East Chapel Hill (N.C.) High School student held a teacher and student at gunpoint, a safety committee says little has been done to make the school more secure. Nobody was physically injured during the hourlong ordeal in which William "Barrett" Foster took hostages in a classroom after school. He is accused of firing two slugs at a window, and has been released on bail.. The safety committee, formed last fall, is asking county and school leaders to take a comprehensive look at security in all of the county's schools.
