Charter backers seek to open high school in Detroit

Coalition wants to create many charter campuses in city
From The Detroit Free Press: The Detroit Edison Public School Academy, a K-8 charter school, plans to open a high school campus this fall. It'll be the first new school to be funded by a grant from members of Excellent Schools Detroit, a coalition seeking to spend about $200 million to open 70 new schools for Detroit kids by 2020.
