Church in Columbus, Ohio, that was denied chance to open charter schools can appeal

From The Columbus Dispatch: The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that the Brookwood Presbyterian Church in Columbus can appeal a decision by the state that denied the church's application to sponsor charter schools. The Ohio Department of Education concluded in 2007 and 2008 that Brookwood was not an "education-oriented entity" and therefore was ineligible to operate government-funded schools. Brookwood, which has operated a program for special-needs students since 2002, contends that the state's denial amounts to religious discrimination.
